A traditional mother of 9, I enjoy spending time with my husband Daniel, of 26 years and being home with my family, all of whom I love more than life.
Life can be difficult, life is always busy, but more than anything, life is good.
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of these meaningful and significant things. Some of them may be funny. Some may be of significance only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience." - Gordon B. Hinckley BYU Devotional, 31 October 2006
Drops in the Sea
The analogy has been made that if every drop in the ocean felt unnecessary and so dried up, the whole ocean would cease to exist. So it is with us. If each of us does not understand our own worth in the grand scheme, we may fail to accomplish that which we were sent here to do. I am a drop in the sea. The whole of the ocean is made up of many like me. I am not alone. Neither are any of us.
Katherine is thinking about goin' fishin'
Actually, she's showing me the oranges she just helped pick. Cutie. She had so much fun in the sand with Emily at the beach. They scooped and patted and piled. Two little sisters having fun. Not even aware they were actually building a lifelong relationship of love and togetherness.
Josh in front of the 'camp kitchen'
We set up all of our camp cooking stuff inside this little storage shed on the property. The house is under construction, so we camped in a tent in the back. It was fun. At least the water worked in the house so we had plumbing facilities... if you know what I mean.
Megan in the sand
Megan had fun digging in the sand outside the rear of the house. She had even more fun burying herself in that sand... until it was time to clean up. We had running water, but no HOT water in which to bathe!!! She toughed it out, though, and took a cold bath!
Charity Picking Oranges from our tree
There is a huge orange tree in the back yard of the Ingleside house. The kids had fun picking all the oranges, (those left by the neighbors and the workers). Very juicy, but a little tart!
the Texas Coast in Winter
How fun was that? We had a good time over the Emily's birthday weekend. Life is good! Live it well.
Levi: One of my main men
This is the face of a fine young man. How lucky am I to be his mom!
